Az emlékmű egy háromszor három méteres járható üvegfödémmel fedett, földalatti bemutatóhely, amely egy bányarészletet ábrázol, vájár figurával, csillével. Előtte emléktábla található, melynek felirata: "Szerencse fel! Szerncse le! Ilyen a bányász élete" Részlet a bányászhimnuszból". Az emlékmű ünnepélyes átadására 2011. szeptember 3-án szombaton került sor.
