Az emlékmű egy háromszor három méteres járható üvegfödémmel fedett, földalatti bemutatóhely, amely egy bányarészletet ábrázol, vájár figurával, csillével. A felvételen a Mérleg út és Rákóczi út övezte kis téren található műkő díszkút látható. A gömbökből épített szökőkút 1986 előtt került a helyére. 1986 júliusában gazdasági okok miatt már nem üzemelt, mivel az építmény alá vízforgatót nem építettek be.
A felvétel 2022-ben, Salgótarján várossá nyilvánításának 100. , centenáriumi évében készült.
