A felvételen a Báthory téren álló, Bóna Kovács Károly Báthori I. című alkotása látható. A mészkő szobor ünnepélyes felállítására 1933. november 5-én került sor a honvédlaktanya előtti téren. "A szoborállítás helyszínét az indokolta, hogy itt működött a Báthory István honvéd kerékpáros zászlóalj parancsnoksága, amely Báthory krakkói érckoporsójának egy darabját őrizte... A szobrot Bóna Kovács Károly helyi szobrászművész készítette, ünnepélyes felállítására 1933. november 5-én került sor a honvédlaktanya előtti téren. Hetven évvel az avatás után a megkopott szobrot Erdei Sándor újrafaragta, a régi alkotást pedig ideiglenesen Baglyasalján helyezték el a helyi szoborparkban. Később restaurálták és visszahelyezték az eredeti helyére, a másolatot pedig 2014-ben Salgótarján testvérvárosának, Gliwicének adományozták."

(Zagyvaróna, 1877. március 14. - Salgótarján, 1ö47. december 27.)
Az inászói bányaács gyermekének tehetségére diákéveiben figyeltek fel és Gerber Frigyes bányaigazgató támogatásával jutott el az Országos Magyar Iparművészeti Iskolára Tanulmányai után, tehetségét elismerve - párizsi ösztöndíjat kapott, majd München, Graz következett tapasztalatszerzés céljából. 1907-ben hazatért, Pestújhelyen telepedett le. Csaknem 9 évig dolgozott Róth Miksa üvegtervező műhelyében. 1918-ban készült "Uzsoki áttörés" című, több társával készített festményét a Hadtörténeti Múzeum őrzi. A huszas években a "Hajnalodás" c. gyermeklap művészeti szerkesztője, a "Színes írások" című irodalmi-művészeti folyóirat rajzoló munkatársa.
1923-ban készítette el a salgótarjáni katolikus templom főoltárának faragványait, oltárképét. 1924-ben aranyérmet kap az országos szervezésű salgótarjáni, 1932-ben díjat és díszoklevelet nyer a Műcsarnokban rendezett szoborkiállításon. 1934-ben, szülőfalujában elkészíti a templom freskóit. E munka után nem tér vissza Budapestre, itt marad, itt telepedik le 57 évesen. 1935-ben elkészíti a salgótarjáni Déli-templom Mária születése oltárát, a főoltár Atyaisten szobrát és két üvegablakát. 1939-ben jelenteti meg "Élő vonalak" c. rajzkönyvét. 1941-ben az országos kiállításon nagydíjat nyer "Napsugár" című faszobrával. 1944-től tagja az Országos Magyar Képzőművészeti Társulatnak, s ekkor kérik fel a főiskola faszobrászati tanszékének vezetésére. A II. világháború után a volt csendőriskola, a mai Táncsics Mihály Közgazdasági Szakközépiskola homlokzati szobrait faragta kőbe. 1948-ban készíti el Petőfi Sándor domborművét, amely csak 1973-ban lett közkincs: a Salgó Hotel falára helyezve. Salgótarjánban, a Művésztelepen" utca, a Panteonban szobor, Zagyvarónán közösségi ház őrzi munkásságának emlékét.

Az ötosztatú képeslapon bátonyterenyei részletek: balra fent a Gyürky-Solymossy-kastély, középen a Bányász emlékmű Molnár Péter alkotása, jobbra a nagybátonyi műemlék jellegű Szent György vértanú templom (a bátonyi hívek földesuruk, püspökük engedélyével építették föl 1735-ben a faluban templomukat, a lengyendi templom köveit részben felhasználva. Szentélye háromkaréjos, mely utalhat a korábbi lengyendi templom románkori formájára), alul balra bányavárosi parkrészlet a lakótelepi épületekkel, jobbra a maconkai Szent István király-templom belseje (a kicsi, torony nélküli egyhajós templom 13. században épült, a freskóit a XIII. vagy a XIV. században festették. A török korban tűz által elpusztult. A boltozatot a 18. században építették újjá, ekkor nyitottak új bejáratot is ).

A négyosztatú képeslapon bátonyterenyei részletek: balra fent a Gyürky-Solymossy-kastély (A kisterenyei 13 hektáros területen lévő Gyürky–Solymossy-kastély 1790-ben épült, késő barokk stílusban, egyemeletes, két hagymakupolás, zsindellyel fedett, saroktornyokkal. Ez a fajta barokk kastélytípus a Kárpát-medence felvidéki részén volt elterjedt. Ilyen stílusban készült épület a trianoni békeszerződés után nem maradt több Magyarországon. /forrás: Szállás.hu/, a kisterenyei vasútállomás, a nagybátonyi városrész lakótelep, valamint a régi városháza.
