Középen "Mátraverebély" felirattal."Kívülről a támpillérek, a mérműves gótikus stílusú ablakok láthatók. A templom nem kevés középkori eredetű művészeti emléket mutathat föl. Építtetőjének, Verebi Péter erdélyi alvajdának (+1403) a sírköve, a szentélyben a kisebb kora gótikus, és jóval pompásabb kegyúri kettős ülőfülke, a késő reneszánsz- kora barokk kő-szószék is figyelmet érdemel. Az emléktáblát Varga István készítette, anyaga mészkő és fekete gránit. Avatására 2001. augusztus 19-én került sor, avatóbeszédet dr. Bercsényi Lajos egyházügyi tanácsnok, imát dr. Lébényi Antal, római katolikus főesperes mondott az eseményen.
A felvétel 2022-ben, Salgótarján várossá nyilvánításának 100. , centenáriumi évében készült.
