A képeslapon a balassagyarmati római katolikus templom (ma Szentháromság templom)
"A mai műemlék barokk templomot Balassa Pál kegyúr építtette 1740-46 között. A templom hossza 27 méter, szélessége 12 méter, belső magassága 14 méter. 1759-ben Révay Antal püspök szentelte fel. A templom egyhajós, nem keletelt, kissé előreugró homlokzati toronnyal épült. Fő- és mellékoltárai, valamint a szószék késő barokk stílusú. Karzata öntöttvas oszlopokon nyugszik.
A templom egyik mellékoltára alatt őrzik Szent Felicián ereklyéjét. Balassa Pál, XIII.Kelemen pápától kapta a templom részére. Felicián egész teste látható üvegkoporsóban. 1759. augusztus 20-án helyezték oltárra, nagy ünnepség közepette. Az üvegkoporsó olasz munka, gazdag indadiszítéses keretben. Az oltár két szélén fehér gipsz szobor látható.Az egyik szent Flóriánt a tűzoltók védőszentjét,a másik egy római katonai ruhába öltözött alak, valószínű Bartimeus századost ábrázolja, aki megtért Jézus keresztje alatt."

A képeslapon a Palóc Múzeum épülete. A múzeum alapításának javaslata Nagy Iván történésztől származik, aki 1891-ben létrehozta a városban a Nógrád vármegyei Múzeumi Társulatot. 1910-ben meghirdették a pályázatot a tervek elkészítésére, az eklektikus stílusban, Wälder Gyula tervei alapján 1914-ben kezdtek az építkezéshez, amelyet 1915-ben adtak át. A tényleges, 1931-es múzeumi megnyitás előtt azonban az épület laktanya, kórház, csendőrség céljára is szolgált.

A képeslapon a Palóc Múzeum épülete. A múzeum alapításának javaslata Nagy Iván történésztől származik, aki 1891-ben létrehozta a városban a Nógrád vármegyei Múzeumi Társulatot. 1910-ben meghirdették a pályázatot a tervek elkészítésére, az eklektikus stílusban, Wälder Gyula tervei alapján 1914-ben kezdtek az építkezéshez, amelyet 1915-ben adtak át. A tényleges, 1931-es múzeumi megnyitás előtt azonban az épület laktanya, kórház, csendőrség céljára is szolgált.
