A képeslapon Salgótarján látképe - városközpont - előtérben balra a Főposta épülete, középen a Centrum Áruház teteje, jobbra a Fő tér a Karancs Szállóval, mögötte a Városháza épülete, középen a háttérben az Evangélikus Templom tornya. Jól látható a város fő utcája a Rákóczi út és a vele párhuzamosan futó Somoskőújfalu-Hatvan vasútvonal sínpárja. Távolban a háttérben a Salgói vár és a Boszorkánykő.
