A felvételen a berceli községi könyvtár épülete látható 1984-ből.
Bercel legrégebbi kastélyát várkastélyként szokás emlegetni. XVII. század végén a Bene család által épített kastély kisebb átalakításoktól eltekintve szinte eredeti formájában látható ma is. Számos nemesi család birtokában lévő épület végül 1945 után került a Magyar Állam tulajdonába, illetve a községi tanács kezelésébe. Ezt követően számos funkció látott el, pl: napközi otthon, iskola, könyvtár, gyógyszertár. A négy saroktornyos kora barokk kastély ma magántulajdonban van.

A négyosztatú képeslapon a salgótarjáni Nemzeti Szálloda és étterem belső terei - a Shanghai grillje és az étterem. A Keszler Mátyás létesítette szálloda 1929. december 22-én nyílt és az akkori város egyik leglátogatottabb szórakozó helye volt. A Nemzeti megbecsültségét mutatja, hogy a Balassa Bálint Asztaltársaság összejöveteleit a kávéház különtermében tartotta. 1940 októberében új korszak köszöntött a Nemzetire. Bock László vette át az üzletet és "Shanghai Grillje" néven egzotikus éjszakai mulatóvá alakítatta, melyet ezen képeslapon megörökítette. Az épület az idők folyamán elveszítette patináns rangját, éveken át kocsmaszerű üzemmel működött. Napjainkban is üzemel visszanyerve valódi éttermi jellegét.
