Az ötosztatú képeslapon kazári részletek - népviseletbe öltözött néptáncosok, az Egészségház, a falu központjában álló Szent Ilona tiszteletére felszentelt templom beltere az oltárral, a templomépület (... működéséről az 1674-es Canonica Visitatio szerint a templom külsőleg és belsőleg rendben találtatott, áldozatkész hívei közül a férfiak főoltárt állítattak.
A törökök után Kazáron is csak az üres templom maradt, a falu teljesen leégett. Később Bellay János hozatta rendbe, és fából új plébániaházat építtetett. Szuhányi József nevéhez fűződik - aki 1781-től 1794-ig volt Kazár plébánosa - a mai tágas plébánia és a templom épületének végleges felépítése.
