A felvételen a Dornyay Béla Múzeum Bányászati Kiállítóhely épülete látható. Az épületben a 2018-ban átadott bányászattörténeti kiállítás I-VI. egysége várja a látogatókat. Az épület udvarában - a bányagép-skanzenben - láthatók az egykor használt eszközök, szállítóeszközök és egy méretarányos aknatorony is. 1892-1970 között a bányában összesen 54 db villamos mozdony üzemelt. A skanzenben a szállítóeszközök sorában láthatunk: 50. pályaszámú villamos mozdonyt, melyet a Ganz Villamossági Művek gyártott 1955-ben; 24 személyes személyszállító kocsit; személyszállító külszíni kocsit; billenős csillét; három tonnás szénszállító kocsit; bányabeli fékes kocsit.

"Új térközi szobornak örülhetnek Salgótarján lakói. A karcsú épület — az MSZMP Nógrád megyei Bizottsága székhaza — szomszédságában, kis parkosított részen áll Vasas Károly, Munkácsy-díjas szobrászművész szobra, a Bányász." (Nógrád 1973-12-24 / 301. szám)

A felvételen a Dornyay Béla Múzeum Bányászati Kiállítóhely kertjében található Dr. Vitális Sándor emléktábla látható. Eredetileg 1987. júliusában salgótarjáni bányamúzeum előtt leleplezték le és koszorúzták meg dr. Vitális Sándor mellszobrát. A bronz szobor Mészáros Mihály szobrászművész alkotása volt. A szobrot ellopták. Az emléktáblát 2017-ben felújították. A tábla szövege: "DR. VITÁLIS SÁNDOR A FÖLDTUDOMÁNYOK DOKTORA, KOSSUTH-DÍJAS, A VÍZFÖLDTAN KIMAGASLÓ SZAKTEKINTÉLYE TISZTELETÉRE. VOLT ELNÖKÉNEK KÖZADAKOZÁSBÓL ÁLLÍTTATTA A MAGYAR HIDROLÓGIAI TÁRSASÁG 1987. FELÚJÍTVA AZ MHT MEGALAKULÁSÁNAK CENTENÁRIUMÁN 2017."
